SAS TO PILOT NDC TOGETHER WITH WTMC

SAS TO PILOT NDC TOGETHER WITH WTMC

New Distribution Capability (NDC) is an IATA initiative that aims to develop the distribution chain of the airline industry. Through NDC, in the long run, SAS' corporate customers will be able to enjoy dynamic solutions that suit their company's individual needs.

At the moment, the industry is driving development by modernizing distribution technology. This development is creating great opportunities for customers, but for it to become a reality, the industry participants involved must retain a common focus on creating customer value. WTMC and SAS share a vision of how to create the offerings of the future for our common corporate customers and both companies are now working to gradually bring them to the market.

SAS AND AIRBUS TO DEVELOP ELECTRIC AIR TRAVEL

SAS AND AIRBUS TO DEVELOP ELECTRIC AIR TRAVEL

For decades, we've been working to reduce emissions and make air travel more sustainable and we've now signed a letter of intent with Airbus to research how to develop electric aircraft. This is the first time that an airline has joined forces with an aircraft manufacturer to introduce electric flights for large-scale commercial use.

The collaboration is a joint research project where SAS and Airbus together will develop knowledge about operational and infrastructure opportunities and challenges linked to the large-scale introduction of hybrid and electric aircraft in commercial traffic.
